A Series I Can Stick With: 7-Minute Episodes, Riveting Chases, Christoph Waltz
Working from home (WFH) involves high-intesity work tasks alternated with off-the-clock to do items, and a good buffer to mark the boundaries. My favorite task-switching buffer is finally, after five weeks, used up. Said buffer was the one streaming series I managed to stick with long enough to complete a "season" in almost a year. This series stars Christoph Waltz as the director of a sinister aristocrat's hunting game. The game in this version -- or the game's game -- is played by Liam Helmsworth, who has been convinced to agree to be chased by a set of killers. In return, the game director (Waltz) rewards the prey (Helmsworth) exponential bank account deposits starting at $50,000 for every hour up to 24 he remains alive. All contestants, all predators and all prey, must stay inside city limits of Detroit or they're disqualified. No guns allowed. It's based on a Collier's short story published in 1924.
